Steve is the Managing Partner of Mandell Ventures and is responsible for managing the business, sourcing new deals, due diligence and overseeing its portfolio of investments. Steve is passionate about advising entrepreneurs in growing their brands.

Steve is a current board member of Siempre Soups and has served since 2017. He served on the Board of Spinning Wheel Brands from 2019 until the company went public on the TSXVenture Exchange in 2021 and changed its name to The Planting Hope Company (MYLK).

Steve is Co-founder, Chicago Seed Co., a Chicago based, professional/social group of investors that focus investments at all stages in the food space. 

Prior to starting Mandell Ventures, Steve spent fifteen years in real estate development, where he was responsible for acquisitions, deal structuring and executive project management of commercial and residential developments ranging in size from $10 – $100+ million.
